Tomb Raider's Lara Croft joins Call of Duty's war effort
The Call of Duty franchise continues its Fortnite-ification by announcing the latest playable character will be Tomb Raider star Lara Croft. The fictional grave robber will appear in Call of Duty: Warzone and Modern Warfare II, joining recent real-life playable characters like Nicki Minaj, Snoop Dogg, Kevin Durant and various characters from the Prime Video show The Boys, among others. Publisher Activision hasn't announced details as to how you get Lara Croft on your side, though it's likely you'll have to purchase some sort of bundle to access the renowned ruins ruiner. For instance, Minaj was available as part of the $10 season 5 battle pack. There will also likely be Croft-related items, skins and weapons for sale, though her signature dual-wielded pistols should be part of the initial buy-in.
Meet Claude: Anthropic's Rival to ChatGPT
Anthropic, an AI startup co-founded by former employees of OpenAI, has quietly begun testing a new, ChatGPT-like AI assistant named Claude. The team at Anthropic was gracious enough to grant us access, and updates to Anthropic's social media policies mean we can now share some of our early, informal comparison findings between Claude and ChatGPT. To show how Claude is different, we'll begin by asking ChatGPT and Claude to introduce themselves with the same prompt. Short and to the point -- ChatGPT is an assistant made to answer questions and sound human. The interface to Claude is a Slack channel using a bot that edits messages to make text appear word-by-word. This causes "(edited)" to appear.

Can Artificial Intelligence Outperform Human Intelligence?
More and more people talk about Artificial Intelligence, especially in the last few years. Humans have been brave enough to think about the possibility of robots that can do things that humans do for a long time. Even though this has been helpful in many ways, have we ever wondered if artificial intelligence could be smarter than humans? Before you can compare human and artificial intelligence, you need to know what artificial intelligence is. In simple terms, artificial intelligence is the set of skills that a machine needs to be able to do tasks that a human can do easily.

What Time Does Season 5 Start In 'Fortnite: Battle Royale?'
The sky itself has cracked in Fortnite: Battle Royale, and Epic Games is teasing a dramatic map overhaul that looks like it's going to incorporate elements of Japanese, Viking and American Western culture. The developer has been working hard to make the start of season 5 as cataclysmic as possible, beginning with a rocket launch a little while ago and continuing on through a series of rifts that have been both eating parts of the map and spitting out mysterious objects. There's even an ARG that's involved llamas scattered throughout the world and a giant Durr Burger head plopped in the middle of the California Desert. It all comes to a head with the start of Season 5, but you may be wondering when, exactly, that is. Here's what time Season 5 will start in Fortnite: Battle Royale.

'Fortnite' desert mystery: Bizarre giant video game burger 'leaks' into the real world
A massive burger from the popular game Fortnite made an appearance in the Mojave Desert. The "Fortnite" phenomenon has just got even weirder. A giant real-life version of the "Durr Burger" sign featured in the wildly popular video game has been found in the Mojave desert. The huge sign from a restaurant in the game, complete with protruding eyes and tongue, was spotted in Llano, California, Mashable reports. "What.... is this... I'm in the middle of the desert why is this here???" tweeted photographer Sela Shiloni Friday.
'Fortnite: Battle Royale Season 5: What Does 'Worlds Collide' Mean?
There's something big afoot in Fortnite: Battle Royale, and Epic wants all eyes forward. The developer just updated the in-game news feed with a somewhat cryptic message advertising the upcoming Season 5 battle pass, something that dedicated players have been speculating about for a while but that Epic has only recently started to address head-on. The text reads only "Worlds Collide: 3 days until Season 5." The message is accompanied by a teaser image that Epic's official Fortnite twitter sent out a little while ago. It appears to depict a stylized version of a Japanese mask depicting Kitsune, which is both the word for fox and a sort of character out of folklore and mythology. There's also a blue, crackling rift over the right eye, something that matches what players have been seeing in-game for about a week.
